When I was first sent to the library by my mom to find a book, I felt like there was no point. I didn’t like reading, and normally I would have gotten a comic book but, at the library, while looking around I found an interesting book called “The Land of Stories” by Chris Colfer. When I saw this book, I just thought it was going to be a regular boring read, but I still decided to get it. Once I got home, I decided to read it and that’s when something amazing happened, I really liked the book.

There are lots of reasons why I enjoyed this book,  like the characters’ personalities. The main characters are siblings, Alex and Conner. Alex was brave and smart, while Conner was funny and also very brave. The dynamics of their relationship was entertaining.  It was really funny when Alex and Conner teased each other, and when they fought it created drama. Still, despite their differences, they always worked well together.

The story starts with Alex and Conner having a normal day in school. And of course, Alex who is Conners sister is showing off how smart she is. After school, they get home and their grandma comes over to there house with a book. The book looked old and dusty but Alex decided to hang on to it.  Every day the book would glow and Alex didn’t know what was happening but decided to not tell her brother. Soon Conner confronted her, but the book was glowing brighter than ever before and all of a sudden they got pulled inside the book and didn’t know how to get back home.

I would say the genre of this book is adventure and humor, even though you may not read this book, I am serious when I say you will enjoy this book if you give it a try. At least try reading it and if you don’t like this book, then that’s your decision. In the book, there is also lots of change. Conner went from silly and bored all day, too humorous, brave, and always excited. Alex went from being shy and uptight, to brave and confident. I would say the characters learned a lot after their journey in the Land of Stories and the best part is that if you enjoy the first book there are five more to read after that!

In conclusion, this is a super good book series. I suggest this book to everyone and the difficulty level isn’t that hard. I would rate this book a 10/10 for how amazing it is. It hooks the reader and gets you sucked into the book with its humor and by always leaving you on a cliff hanger. If I tell you more I would spoil the book so I guess I have to leave you on a cliff hanger.
