Where Traditional Flavors of Japanese Cuisine Blend Seamlessly with the Vibrant Spirit of
Hawaii

Rinka is a Japanese restaurant located near downtown Honolulu and known for its harmonious blend of Japanese elegance and Hawaiian warmth. Both the food and the atmosphere are relaxed yet refined. The menu features a wide variety of dishes, including sushi, sashimi, tempura, and teppanyaki. Rinka also has a full bar, with a wide selection of sake, beer, and wine so it makes a great option for special occasions (you can even rent space for events) as well as a casual lunch or dinner with friends.

The restaurant has a modern, minimalist interior and one of the things we loved especially were the high ceilings, outdoor seating options, and large open kitchen, where you can watch the chefs prepare your food. Gotta love transparency when it comes to food preparation and special attention is given to presentation whether you’re trying something fancy or a simple comfort food dish. While dining we noticed that some of the the patrons and servers were Japanese which we took as a good sign that the food is authentic and good.

We found the servers to be friendly and they were happy to help us choose the perfect dishes as we found ourselves torn deciding between classic Japanese favorites and some of their more daring creations. The desert menu is a playful variety of Japanese flavors combined with local ingredients that pay homage to Hawai’i’s rich bounty. So let’s get down to some of the items you can find on the menu at Rinka:
