Hawaiian-themed restaurants in Oahu

A hub of outstanding dining experiences, Oahu is the meeting place of the Hawaiian Islands. Because of its unique location, Hawaii is a melting pot of culinary methods and cuisines. Fusions of Hawaiian and Asian cooking are to be expected and even if you come to enjoy the traditional experience of a Luau, you may find your heart in another cuisine. Additionally, restaurants fiercely compete with one another over the many costumers.

Hawaii Food & Wine Festival

Featuring a roster of more than 150 international master chefs, culinary personalities, winemakers, and mixologists, Hawaii Food & Wine Festival (HFWF) is a culinary program aimed at bringing attention to the diverse Hawaiian cuisine. With over 10,000 attendees spanning over three islands, HFWF features quality, locally sourced products and world-class dining experiences sure to leave you satisfied.

The Mina Fish House

The world’s only restaurant with a fish sommelier, Mina’s Fish House in Kapolei, provides one of the most unique and in-depth, seafood experiences. At Mina’s every fish is caught fresh and comes with its story and advice on preparing it. Each fish has a unique flavor and texture, and every fish is deboned before being cooked, giving freshwater fish a new spin. Other dishes like the lobster pot pie, complete the beachfront menu’s Asian-inspired motif.

The Morimoto Asia Waikiki

Morimoto Asia, located in the Alohilani Resort, offers its distinct Asian-fusion cuisine. At Morimoto’s, food ranging from China all the way to Thailand, is served alongside breathtaking ocean and sunset vistas. While visiting, try pairing the unique Iced Kirin beer with dishes like the Morimoto Peking duck, lobster chow fun, and sweet-and-sour crispy fish.

Chef Chai

At Chef Chai’s, classic recipes are combined with an Asian/Hawaiian touch. Some of his inventive takes on local foods include the fried prawn in a bird’s nest with pineapple, beef fillet on potato with crunchy veggies and a pastry packed with foie gras, and fried caramelized banana cream cheese, which features banana, caramel, and cream cheese drizzled with chocolate and fresh berries.

Orchids

Hawaiian flare and coastal Italian cuisine are combined at Orchids in the Halekulani Hotel. Orchids is perfect for a business conference, a romantic supper, or any other special occasion with its elegant coastal location. From the menu, the onaga cartoccio offers beachfront Italian sensations in the center of paradise with tomato guazzetto, scallops, and shrimp. With deserts like the lemon coconut cake and macadamia nuts, desserts are given the same creative flair.

Tommy Bahama

After a long day of shopping, consider stopping by Waikiki’s Tommy Bahama. Located directly on the boulevard, Tommy Bahama is the ideal pit stop. Spend time shopping in their clothing store before heading up to enjoy an evening drink and meal. The vermouth salmon and mushroom flatbread are both excellent choices.

Waiolu Ocean Cuisine

The Trump Hotel’s Wai’olu Ocean Cuisine restaurant enjoys a picturesque view of Waikiki Beach and the nearby Fort Henry Park. Ilikea’s Mai Tai, with caramelized pineapple and pineapple-bacardi sorbet, is only one of the elegant Hawaiian ocean cuisine’s distinctive drinks including sake and whiskey if they don’t suit your taste. Kona Abalone and Moi fish are two unique meals that go well with a fantastic sushi bar. A late-night happy hour and regular entertainment from Thursday through Saturday prove that you can’t go wrong at Wai’olu.
